Summer Programs 2010Our specialized team of professionals is committed to providing a program that empowers children & families with speech, language and academic needs. Our methodology combines academic success with personal attention and provides measurable results for our students. To best service our clients during these summer group sessions the classes will be limited to a maximum of 8 students. The Child Application and payment are due by June 1st for all June sessions and June 24th for all July sessions. Payment Methods: Cash/Check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover Speech & Language Preschool (Age 3-5 years)Skills: This small, structured environment will encourage the students to use speech and language strategies that are taught through math and language activities, motor time, and circle time. Pragmatic language or social language will be incorporated into the various activities as well. The sessions will be instructed by a skilled, certified Speech Language Pathologist and will target children approximately three, four, and five year olds. Insurances will not be billed for this group.
Speech & Language Primary Group (Ages 6-8 years)Skills: This small, structured environment will encourage the students to use speech and language strategies that are taught through academic tasks such as math, reading, and listening comprehension. Pragmatic language or social language will be incorporated into the various activities as well. The sessions will be instructed by a skilled, certified Speech Language Pathologist, and will target children approximately six, seven, and eight year olds. Insurances will not be billed for this group.
Pragmatic Group I (Social Language-Skills) (Older group)Skills: This small group session will provide instruction and practice of social skills, in a naturalistic environment, as well as focus on why these skills are important. Students will be grouped appropriately according to chronological age and grade.
Pragmatic Group II (Social Language-Skills) (Younger group)Skills: This small group session will provide instruction and practice of social skills, in a naturalistic environment, as well as focus on why these skills are important. Students will be grouped appropriately according to chronological age and grade.
Academic Booster I (approx 3rd-5th grade)Skills: This small, structured environment will use a multisensory approach to instruct academic skills and strategies. The skills will encompass core academic areas such as reading, writing and math. The sessions will be instructed by a skilled, certified Speech Language Pathologist, and will target children approximately third to fifth graders. Insurances will not be billed for this group.
